Jorge A. De La Chapa
Jorge A. De La Chapa is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has treated residents of San Antonio for over a decade and specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, eyelid surgery, LASIK, and diabetic eye disease. His years of combined surgical and research experience allows his patients to receive some of the best treatment options available. Dr. De La Chapa attended undergraduate and graduate school at The University of Texas at El Paso. He completed medical school in Tulsa at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduation, he completed a one-year rotating internship at Columbia Tulsa Regional Medical Center where he also completed his ophthalmology residency. With dedication to his patients and professional community, Dr. De La Chapa is a part of many organizations including American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American College of Surgeons, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Texas Medical Association. His certifications include Visx Star Excimer laser, Visx custom cornea excimer laser, amd LenSx Femtosecond laser system for cataract extraction Dr. De La Chapa and his wife have been vacationing in Corpus Christi and Port Aransas for years and are excited to finally call it home with their 9 children.
