Richard Bond
Richard Bond, M.D. is a board-certified Ophthalmologist and longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas who is dedicated to helping patients achieve their best vision. Areas of expertise include glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and diabetic retinopathy, and external eye conditions including corneal diseases, dry eye, tearing, redness and irritation, eyelids and eyelashes. Dr. Bond completed his undergraduate studies at the highly acclaimed University of Texas at Austin and went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio, Texas. Following his schooling, he completed an internship at the Central Texas Medical Foundation Breckenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas and his residency in Ophthalmology at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center. With his longstanding Texas roots and deep compassion and care for the Corpus Christi community, Dr. Bond joined Texas Eye Care Network to further the mission of treating all eye care needs with excellence, care and efficiency to all of South Texas. Dr. Bond is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, and Is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Bond enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and relaxing on the beach.
